Michael Yee, Esq
Sacramento, CA estate planning lawyer, Michael Yee founded the Yee Law Group with the goal of providing Sacrament-area families with the tools and information they need in order to secure their loved ones’ futures. The firm focuses on estate planning, asset protection, probate, business, and real estate law.
Michael enjoys sitting down with families to educate them on the benefits of having an estate plan in place and guides families who have lost loved ones and may need help navigating through the probate process.
His commitment to the Sacramento community comes from the example and commitment generations of his family have given, providing the area with many doctors and dentists. Michael’s great-great-grandfather, Dr. Wah Hing (born Yee Fung Cheung), came to California during the Gold Rush. Dr. Hing had many patients come to him at his practice in Sacramento, including Jane Stanford, the wife of Governor Leland Stanford.
Michael’s grandfather has also given much to the Sacramento community. South Land Park resident Dr. Herbert Yee is a retired dentist, commercial real estate investor, and community leader. During his 54 years in the dental profession, Dr. Yee was the official dentist for both Governors Pat Brown and Ronald Regan.
Michael made the decision to dedicate his career to law, obtaining his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2008. He was admitted to the California Bar the same year and immediately began practicing law at one of the oldest most well-respected real estate law firms in Sacramento, quickly becoming a partner of the firm. He took the knowledge and experience he gained at that firm and opened the doors to his own firm several years later.
In addition to helping clients, Michael is also very active in the community, serving on the South Placer Estate Planning Council, Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, and on the boards of various local civic organizations. He is also legal counsel for the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Association
Among his many legal achievements, Michael was named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars List, Norther California in 2019 and 2020. He received the Avvo Clients Choice Award in 2019, 2020, and 2019, and he was named 2020 Top Lawyer by Sacramento Magazine.
